Ugh, it's been a draining week, sorry for the lack of updates, and to top it off... I still don't have any, instead i've dug though my archive and brought you this little conversion from a few years ago.
The conversion was based on one of the OOP Eldar rangers. It also uses wood elf parts, a beastman weapon and an OOP necromunda plastic Orlock gun.
This was one of a few I did for a warband that I never finished painting (partly because I was not happy with the paint jobs). She'd probably look pretty good in a 28mm ][ Warband that I see so many of over on the Ammobunker specialist games forum.
Anyway, hopefully i'll have something new to show after this weekend, otherwise i'll have to plunge into my archives again.
Nice conversion would make a cool ash nomad
ReplyDeleteThank you, the 2 headed blade thingy was certainly inspired by the nomads, I was going for a custom house warband from the "nightmare syndicate" (I used to love that old PC game).
DeleteI remember these! They were really cool, and I hope you finish them one day! ;0)
ReplyDelete...Didn't you have a Plasmagun-armed one as well?
I doubt I will finish them as I found them the other day and the paint jobs are just depressingly bad, combined with plastic parts and greenstuff that make them impossible to strip lol.
DeleteYep I did a dude with a plasma gun too, I expect they will all get posted up on the weeks where I have nothing better to share ;).
You *can* strip them!
ReplyDeleteHalfords Dot4 Clutch & Brake Fluid + glass jam-jar + a couple of weeks' soak. You'd be amazed how well they come out, and also how mild the stuff is on plastics.
I'd love to see these given the attention they deserve. ;0)
Cheers for that, if I ever get back into sci-fi again (besides the teratons) i'll give this a shot :).
DeleteYou just have to be patient with the Dot4... Longer is better really. So if you think you might be doing these in a few months' time, start soaking them now! XoD
