Gorgon cult; Salamanders PiP

Paint in progress on 3/4 of the salamanders I converted up a while ago, the other one is slightly further behind as I try to work out how to paint his sea serpent cloak.

I tried a patina effect on the copper of their shields, I think the effect worked quite well but i'm not sure that I like the effect... either that or the really dark green shields... mght repaint jet black or something else, not decided yet.

Gorgon cult; 2nd Naga completed

Finished the second WoW pre-painted plastic re-pose / re-paint.
Nothing really more to say about this than what was said about the first one :).
I'm sure I could spend more time on it, but it was a pre-painted plastic figure and therefore the detail is pretty soft anyway and I hate painting so would rather get back to something else.... or not as my muse takes me.

Gorgon cult - Upgraded WoW Naga

All done apart from some highlights on his Trident (and the base of course), lighting was a bit rubbish and the model is presently shiner that I would like, even after 2 coats of matt varnish... but i'm pretty happy with him, he has eyeballs and a painted tongue but you can't see that clearly in the photos particularly with the shiny issue...

Gorgon cult - paint in progress

So the painting doth begin, settled on a green fin / sail scheme for these dudes (After trying and failing orange).
Skales / Skin will be blacker when i'm finished (I hope).

Started on the salamanders in the same scheme, took a scale shot so you can see how big the naga figure is vs the salamander conversion.

Gorgon cult; medium based salamander types.

A couple of horribly painted pre-painted world of Warcraft figures i'm attempting to upgrade for use as medium based warriors for my Gorgon cult.
Left guy's head was repositioned and his trident was built from an Ogre standard pole and a Dark elf standard cross section (From the OOP warriors kit).
Right guy had his left arm cut off an re-posed / sculpted, his head removed and re-posed and the same weapon build.

GORGONS: SALAMANDERS

4 Salamanders converted up, this will be yet another warband lead by a bloodwrack medusa, I have a few snakes and a couple of legged snakemen to going these guys

The base figures are Brood Korolon figures from Void 2.0 / Urban War, pretty expensive miniatures unfortunately otherwise i'd do another 4 of them at least.

The hands are all from Dark elf kits (Shields from the Cold on cav, spears from Warriors) the cloak is from the Dark elf corsairs with the back of the torso carved off and the heads are from skinks, all GW, I wasn't going to keep the fins on (hence why one of the heads doesn't have a fin) bit I tried it and I think they look pretty cool personally, I can say the one without a fin is a female, and therefore doesn't need to show off like the males lol.
