Hordes Circle of Orboros: Ferile WarpWolf (PIP) part 2

Coming along quite nicely I think now, though there are some bits where the quickshade I appiled a bit too heavily or didn't wanter it down quite enough and need to be blended back in again with watered down bone white.

I'm pretty happy with how he's coming along so far.
None of the armour has had more than it's base colours and a littel bit of quick shade for depth applied... i'm not looking forward to adding some highlight to the orange lol...

I found a pot of P3 Molten bronze which I didn't realise I had, that should make a great highlight to the much darker I-kore Lucifer bronze :).
Got to paint his nose and eyes yet too.

And I keep forgetting to put the top coat of cream onto his tail at the moment it's just barely base coated.
You might not be able to see it in the pictures, I think it's most visble on his back, but any large flat areas of model i went out of my way to try and keep the top highlight showing hte brush strokes to try and give the effect of fine fur.... I think it looks pretty good (at least on his back lol).

I also managed to drop the model when painting him and i've broken off the back spike on the left hand side :(, chipped a few bits too but it was all the spikes and I hadn't finished them so I just slapped the highlight colour on the ends lol.

Hordes Circle of Orboros: Ferile WarpWolf (PIP)

Well the aim of this plog was to combat gamers ADD by painting and modelling lots of different things, and while that is still true I appear to have remembered that I used to have a Circle of Orboros army for Hordes... because I liked the figures... and the Bloodtrackers I painted up (the woodsey elf types with Javlins) have put me down the path of wanting a Circle army again...

Oh well go with the flow, I picked up a starter and some other bits and this is just a WIP to show i'm still alive...

Having food poisoning meant I had today off sick, which has meant that I have also managed to start on this fella.

Skaven Clans: Plague initiates

Converted some plague initiates from the guys swinging the screaming bell, takes a little bit of greenstuff to make good, and I added some brazier bits from dark angel space marine bits.
They are smaller than the average skaven, but that works for initiates fine :).

Wood elves: Treeman: PIP

And that's as far as i've got so far....

Painted in exactly the same way as the dryads here still got a layer of white and some deepening of the horizontal lines to go, plus the leaves and the eyes.

Wood elves: Treeman

I used to play wood elves in warhammer fantasy (well twice before I sold them lol) but I was never a fan of the GW treeman, just a little too random for me, though I appreciate what they were going for.

I did try to sculpt my own treeman back in the day but I never finished him, sold him on a couple of years ago.

Anyway, so I saw the new plastic ent kit and I much prefered it's style the the treeman and previous metal ent, so I bought one to go with my wood elf warband :).

He's had a bit of liquid greenstuff added for texture and I made a root ball for his raised foot from spare dryad bits. The lower legs were swapped around which required a little trimming on the knee sockets.
I've even managed to get a bit of paint on him.... will update soon.

So what do we think of it.....?
Hmmm ok so my daughter's not in to wood elves......

Cheers
