Finally managed to paint one of the plastic hammerers I converted in 2011 lol. Not sure why, I just saw some nice warhammer dwarves online and I thought I should really finish this unit at least, after all I put months of conversion work into them!!
Some of the chainmail looks decidedly dodgy. That is because of the plastics
(the mail on dwarves never seems to come out of the mold as well as the
mail on some other minis (e.g. Dark elves) and the 6th edition plastics
were really quite bad where they attempted to have the chainmail go all
the way around, due to the limitations of injection molding this was
never going to work (GW were still learning at that point).
Right well that's one down, only 29 more to go...lol
Finished off the last dwarf slayer who's been sitting on my desk for yonks, that makes a full 12 dwarves for the warband all painted up :).
Like the last one this guy is based on a Mantic games beserker with hands / weapons, the hammer is from the actual Mordheim dwarf Warband :).
Not much going on in the hobby world i'm afraid, I've had very little to report, did a bit of dabbling but nothing much to showfor it bought some bits, sold some bits, just generally didn't do a lot lol.
Paiting these Tharn bloodtrackers & spellsinger to this point and putting a base coat on some Terrortoise is all I have accomplished in the long time between the last post and this one.
Some progress has been made on this one though she definately isn't finished, infact she's gone back into the cabinet again until the desire to paint her strikes again...
Not much to say beyond the fact that there are a few highlights yet to do (E.g. Gold) and that this figure is a pain in the arse to paint (at least for me lol).
